Set within Walkerson’s Country Estate, this modernist inspired pavilion is intended as a weekend escape from the city. The building is set on a sloping site, designed on a raised platform that touches the landscape lightly, and allowing for elevated views into the adjacent valley.
The architectural design language is intended as a modernist complement to the traditional farm sheds characteristic to the area.
A modular steel framed structural system forms the shell of the building, allowing the introduction of large glazed facades, which enhances the seamless connection to the landscape.
The layout comprises two shed buildings, connected by a flat roof glass pavilion accommodating the kitchen and dining spaces.
