The project is located on a sub-divided north facing stand. In order to optimise the sites orientation, the house is pushed as far back as possible in order to maximise exposure to the north light, and allow for a generous garden. The architecture is inspired by traditional farmstead architecture, including the use of a generous verandah. The interior architecture is characterised by a large open volume space with clerestorey windows and a gallery passage.
